Open Letter to the Australian High Commissioner to Tonga , Colin Hill
Dear Sir,
Mr Colin Hill's naive and business as usual statement that “ Australia will not dictate” to the Pacific Islands countries including Tonga is sickening. How can you say it is up to the Tongan community to dictate its future when you know very well the Tongan community has no say in such a government where the 9 voted in by 99% of the population are neither in Cabinet or Privy Council? These 9 people are also outnumbered in Parliament where one man calling himself King elects the majority of its members?
When will these highly paid diplomats come up with an original statement to replace these politically correct statements?
On one hand you flog the above statement yet you spend over a million dollars to establish an army headquarters. How do you prioritise these million dollars in the face of Tonga 's health needs? Is any neighbouring country like Niue going to attack Tonga ? You know very well why Tonga has an army. To employ the noble's and supporters of the dictator's uneducated children as well as suppress any protests or movements towards democracy.
Keep saying those politically correct statement and fix it later (like what the Australian taxpayers are paying for your presence in the Solomons today.)
Come on Mr. Hill, stop insulting my intelligence.
