Fantastic game against the All Blacks.  Congratulations.  All Blacks won the first half / Tonga won the second half.  The whole team should feel proud of itself.  Well done!!

Could you please present my congratulations to the Tonga rugby team for their outstanding performance against the French this morning (French time)? The Tonga team is composed of real rugby warriors with a deep pride and respect for the traditions of rugby. It was particularly moving at the end to see the Tongan forwards challenge time after time the French team, brandishing biceps and saying “if you want a scrum, come and get us; we are ready for you!” And time after time the Tongan team fought them back to a man. It was a wonderful moment for your country and your sporting traditions.
A VERY PROUND DAY INDEED FOR TONGA AND ITS GO-EM RUGBY.

    TERRIFIC!!!!!!!!

    Timothy Mercer.

Tonga has about 110 000 to my knowledge, a statistic which makes the feat of beating the French at rugby an even greater exploit.

    Dear friend,

I am an Italian teacher with the hobby of
collecting STAMPED ENVELOPES travelled through the mail from all over the
    world.

Although the use of electronic mail like this
is progressively cancelling the use of the old-fashioned paper envelopes
enclosing the messages which now run through the net, I am still interested in
the few items which still travel through the Post Offices. May I hope you are
in the position to send to my address some of such envelopes instead of
    throwing them into the dustbin?

Grateful for your help, please know that I am
not interested in cut-out stamps, but the full covers.

I thank you for your kind attention and look
    forward to hearing from you.

    My best regards,

    Giorgio

Talofa,  bula vinaka, malo e lelei, kia ora and salutations,
This letter confirms Ki-o-Rahi Akotanga Iho (KAI) as the representative organisation of ki-o-rahi in NZ. Our organisation has been given the mandate by Iwi to select national teams and to organise national competitions and international matches.
KAI was founded in 2006 and organised the first series of international ki-o-rahi matches in 2010, between NZ and French womens and mens teams, and was particularly honoured to have the legendary Buck Shelford play in that historic series.
KAI, consisting wholly of volunteer committee members, were again given the mandate by all Iwi which participated at the 2011 Ki-o-Rahi Nationals in Taupo, brilliantly hosted by Tuwharetoa Sports, to organise a series of international matches between NZ and Pasifika teams, at Rotorua on March 24, 2012. This historic series will come under the mana of the Te Arawa Iwi, via the auspices of Te Papa Takaro o Te Arawa, who will host this series during their 2012 Te Arawa Games tournament.
The Pasifika and NZ matches will be an historic celebration of proud Polynesian peoples with a significant history of aerial ball games, meeting for the first time on the ki-o-rahi field – the ancient Maori ball game. The Pasifika traditional ball games, such as hiko, pei, fu’aga, te’auga, pei lima, and tuimuri are acknowledged as the ancestors of ki-o-rahi.
A Samoan womens ki-o-rahi team has accepted the invitation to play their NZ conterparts. The team is called ‘Fetu Samoa’, which means ‘the beautiful morning stars of Samoa’. The team is coached by Cynthia ‘Monkey’ Ta’ala –  a long serving NZ rugby league international who has retired from her NZ representative duties to support FETU SAMOA and the aspirational goals of Samoan women on the international sporting stage. KAI applauds her appointment as Samoan womens ki-o-rahi coach and her efforts to promote Samoan women in sport.
We now seek a mens Pasifika heritage team from Samoa, Tonga or Fiji or combined  to join the Samoan womens team as representatives in this celebration of traditional Polynesian ball games arts. The following urls are Youtube video clips which show the two teams which contested this years NZ mens Ki-o-Rahi finals, the bulk of these players are in the NZ team – and a game played in the Far North.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNG8R4SgyVQ
Sport Waitakere, and KAI members, are available to assist in the training of your team and  to assist in preparations. If you are interested in forming a team please contact myself in the first instance.
Malo, vinaka, manuia, nga mihi, thankyou
