Graduating High School despite early obstacles - My Nephew Harayasu Ke Aloha Fifita Jr!
What a joy for me, families, and friends to attend Harry’s commencement and graduation party in Colorado this past weekend. You see, Harry is not your typical and average teenager. He is a very special person to all of us.
Thirteen months after Harry was born, he and his mom got in a big car accident while his mom was 7 months pregnant with her second son. The doctors gave us the worst possible news ever and announced that Harry had brain damage and if he made it out of intensive care, he would be blind or never live to see his 18th birthday. Families and friends from all over prayed and fasted for him while he laid there and fought for his life for weeks.
It is now 18 years later and Harry has proven his doctors wrong. Harry graduated from High School and Seminary last week. His future plans and wishes are to go and serve a mission for his church. Congratulations to Harry for all your accomplishments and your parents Funaki and Sione Tea Fifita for raising such a wonderful young man. Good Luck in the future!
