Jury trial for Tonga’s former Attorney General adjourned to January next year


In Tonga’s Supreme Court, the jury trial in the case between former Attorney General, John Cauchi and the government has been adjourned to 23 January next year.

Radio and TV Tonga News reports that Chief Justice Michael Scott, who is presiding over the case discharged all the jury members after receiving submissions from legal counsels on both sides. Laki Niu is representing Cauchi while the Attorney General, Neil Adsett is defending the government of Tonga.
