Embattled Auckland Blues coach Pat Lam reportedly says new Tonga Rugby Union chairman Epi Taione has asked about his availability to coach the Tongan national team.
via Report: Pat Lam sought as Tonga coach – – SI.com.
Why Taione inquired about Pat Lam’s availability to coach ‘Ikale Tahi but not ‘Isitolo Maka or Toutai Kefu?
The latter two coached the ‘Ikale Tahi last year and Tonga beat France and Japan during the last RWC as well as convincingly defeated Fiji and Manu Samoa on the eve of 2011 world cup? And moreover their efforts have taken Tonga from No 16 before the RWC to No. 9 ranking after the world cup, the highest ranking Tonga ever had so far.
That’s is a feat we ought to be proud of. Please give them another chance!
